Apprenticeships
Foundation Apprenticeships
As a school pupil, a Foundation Apprenticeship gives an early exposure of the world of work, helping to develop the skills, experience, and knowledge needed when leaving school.
A foundation apprenticeship offers the chance to get a head start in your career by gaining an industry-recognised qualification, work on real projects and broaden your career options.
Fife College and Fife Council are working in partnership to ensure that Fife Secondary school pupils benefit from a fantastic, full range of Foundation Apprenticeships.
Foundation Apprenticeships are now recognised by all colleges and universities, and you can use them, along with other SQA National 5/Higher qualifications, to gain access to a Modern Apprenticeship or Higher Education including degree pathways. You may also be able to access some Higher National Certificate (HNC) study routes at Fife College with your FA qualification and no SQA Higher qualifications.
